Recession Schmesssion: There’s Money to Make!
Vulcans say there are always possibilities. Über-capitalists say there are always opportunities… even in a recession. Such was the message from London Business School Professor Donald Sull in an interview on Marketplace last night. He thinks the smartest managers in this economic downturn are those who buck the bunker mentality and look for bargains and changes in business processes that can improve the bottom line now and build long-term competitive advantage for that happy day when the Wall Street Journal doesn’t read like an obituary.
